2020 Community Champion Awards

2020 Community Champion Awards

We don't need superheroes.
We have ordinary people doing extraordinary things.

Dr. Yamil Sanchez, Chief Administrative Officer for the Reading School District;

Michael Toledo, CEO of the Hispanic Center in Reading; and

Chris Winters, President and CEO of the Olivet Boys and Girls Club of Reading and Berks County.

The Camel Project Community Champions program identifies and honors individuals or organizations at setting the standards and lead by example in their community. With a focus on strengthening awareness, confidence, and community. We are looking for collaborating with dedicated officials, leaders, residents, and students to participate in learning outside of the office and classroom, which ultimately strengthens everyone. These experiences help the community as a whole to better understand and set the social environment, how they impact community members and increase their skills in communication, leadership, care, and advocacy.
